Courses and Training

Training courses and masterclass workshops in Mine Haul Road Design, Construction and Management are offered in various formats, to suit client needs.

  • On-site – to meet mine site and client needs, delivering site-specific solutions and insights into mine-based road-building materials, construction equipment and remediation requirements of the existing haul road network.
  • Off-site – to meet more generic training needs, where delegates learn to apply and assess basic mine haul road design, construction and management practices.
  • As an accredited e-learning option, hosted through Edumine (a Division of InfoMine Inc.), Canada and in the USA, the Society of Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (SME).

Masterclass Details

The Masterclass introduces delegates to the principles of mine haul road design, from road building material selection and characterisation, geometric road design and layout, layerworks and wearing course selection and design, practical construction techniques, dust palliative selection, management and economic evaluation, through to real-time rolling resistance evaluation and performance assessment methodologies as a basis for maximising haul fleet productivity, minimising haulage costs and planning haul road maintenance management or improvement or upgrading strategies.
